About MyGunDeal
Most deal sites throw a wall of links at you and call it a day. We do it differently. MyGunDeal tracks prices on guns, optics, ammo, and gear so you can spend less time hunting for deals and more time at the range.
Alongside the deals, we publish guides and reviews grounded in actual range time, not spec-sheet regurgitation. If we haven't run it, handled it, or tested a claim ourselves, we say so.
How We Work
Every piece of content on MyGunDeal is reviewed by someone with hands-on experience in that category before it goes live. No article ships without an editor who has actually used the type of product or run the drill being discussed.
If we get something wrong, we want to hear about it. We correct errors when they're identified and we don't quietly bury the fix.
Who We Are
MyGunDeal was founded by Yuri, a weapons warrant officer with 27 years behind the trigger. He has spent eight years as a firearms instructor for the National Guard, holds NRA instructor certifications in both pistol and rifle, and serves as a range safety officer at his local range where he teaches civilian shooters. That combination of military rigor and everyday range work is what sets the tone for the site.
The rest of the team is a small group of shooters and instructors whose experience spans both civilian and military settings, from teaching first-time gun owners safe handling fundamentals to supporting unit-level marksmanship programs. Some of our contributors write under pen names for personal or professional reasons. Their work goes through the same editorial review as everything else on the site.
What ties us together is a pretty simple philosophy: know your equipment, prioritize safety, and make recommendations based on how things actually perform, not how they look in a press release.
MyGunDeal is an independent personal project and is not associated with any team member's employer. All opinions here are our own.
How the Site Is Funded
We earn commissions when you buy through some of the retailer links on the site. That revenue covers the cost of running MyGunDeal: hosting, writing, and editorial work.
Those partnerships do not decide what we recommend. If a product isn't a reasonable choice for the money, it doesn't get our endorsement regardless of who sells it.
